FCSR Advisory Board member Bill Paul has been named 2007 Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Home Builders Institute.

Tampa builder-developer Bill Paul is taking his passion for workforce training to the national scene.

The former Chair of the Florida Home Builders Association Foundation and the current Vice Chair of the FHBA Governmental Affairs Committee, Paul has been named 2007 Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Home Builders Institute.

Pinellas Superintendent of Public Schools Talks of Challenges

At a recent quarterly meeting, Dr. Clayton Wilcox, Superintendent of Pinellas County Schools addressed nearly 300 FCSR members, their guests and several public officials at the Fort Harrison Hotel auditorium in an enlightening and entertaining briefing about the his observations and plans for improving the qualify of education in the Pinellas County School system.  

FCSR Sponsors Legislative Workshops

Washington Lobbyist Greg Mitchell presented a fascinat-ing workshop on how the legislative process works. FCSR members and guests learned the nuts and bolts of advocacy and what are the truly important actions in pursuing legislative changes.



Community Learning Center Receives $50K Governor's Family Literacy Initiative (GFLI) Grant

Governor Jeb Bush today announced this year's Governor's Family Literacy Initiative (GFLI) grant
recipients at the Governor's Mansion. Included was the Community Learning Center of Pinellas County. The Center is a volunteer after-school program for at-risk youth.

Narconon Opens Residential Program in Florida

Narconon Gulf Coast in Destin, Florida, is a residential drug rehabilitation, drug prevention and education center. This newly opened rehab center is producing graduates who can live live stable, ethical, productive, and drug-free lives.



Cherish the Children Foundation Takes on New Role in Child Protection

Cherish the Children founders have expanded their roles and responsibilities in helping our youth. They have recently become involved in Project Craft, helping to support the individuals that are involved in that program. More details to be released soon.
