Debra Bellmaine
Events Coordinator

Debra obtained her Bachelor of Science from California State University Fresno in Information Systems, Magna Cum Laude. She has spend 20 years as a software engineer, all phases of development, including design, coding, testing.

Debra's career has included being the Director of Programming for Advanced Logics, a software development and consulting firm. She is the Founder and owner of Bellmaine Associates, a web design and development services firm

Debra is currently a realtor with Coldwell Banker, bringing tech expertise and Internet know-how to assist clients in selling and purchasing real estate

Her community activities include entertainment coordinator for Clearwater Community Volunteers' Winter Wonderland, and volunteer for their Fashion Show, a fundraiser for CCV and the Boys & Girls Club.


Alex Eckelberry
Grassroots Campaign Manager

Alex is a highly experienced senior marketing executive who directs the grassroots advocacy campaigns for FCSR. Alex brings his experience as a seasoned software industry veteran along with his commitment and dedication to raising the qualify of life for our state and nation to FCSR's management team.

Alex is currently President of Sunbelt Software where he is responsible for the development and execution of Sunbelt's corporate and product strategy, overseeing the company's financial performance, building and strengthening the senior management team, and establishing and growing a strong operational base.

Prior to Sunbelt, Alex was a managing director with Bulldog Capital Management, an investment firm with peak assets of $1.2 billion, where he managed the firm's venture capital investments and later worked in marketing and public equities securities analysis. As a venture capitalist, he worked on investments in a range of private companies.

Before Bulldog, Alex was the executive vice president for Mijenix Corporation, where he was instrumental in achieving growth of over 700% in two and a half years, leading to the sale of the company to publicly-traded Ontrack Data International. Prior to Mijenix, he was with Quarterdeck Corporation (now part of Symantec) for over six years, starting at the company prior to its IPO. His most recent positions at Quarterdeck were vice president, worldwide marketing and vice president and general manager, utilities business unit. 

Prior to Quarterdeck, Alex worked for software companies Aegis Development, Oxxi, Inc. and Borland International and served on numerous boards and advisory boards in the hi-tech sector.


Darrell Malick
Treasurer and Pilot, FCSR Airways

Darrell is FCSR's Treasurer and a member of FCSR's Council of Governors.

He is Founder, managing director, & portfolio manager of Emory Partners, L.P a fund strategy he founded in 1993. 

Prior to managing Emory Partners, he rose from accounting manager to chief operating officer for and partner in Feshbach Bros., a firm best known for pioneering the area of dedicated short-selling in the equity markets. 

Darrell is very active with Boy Scouts of America, including doing the Woodbadge training for Scouting leaders and is presently serving as Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 313. 

Darrell is active in Florida and national politics, and has flown various candidates, representatives, cabinet members and celebrities to political events in his private airplane (dubbed "FCSR Airways"). He also supports the grassroots movement to replace the income tax system with a progressive national retail sales tax (www.fairtax.org).

Darrell attended San Jose State University (electrical engineering) and has completed considerable independent study in electrical engineering, accounting, computer programming, management, and investing.  At one time or another he has held the following licenses:  Series 3, Series 4, Series 7, Series 27, and Series 69.


Julie Malick
Membership Director

Julie Malick sits on the Executive Committee and is the Membership Director for FCSR. She currently also volunteers full time as Executive Assistant to Thomas Wright, Executive Director of FairTax.org, the grassroots organization behind the push for replacing all federal income taxes with a national retail sales tax.

Julie is co-Founder of Emory Partners, L.P., a hedge fund specializing in trading S&P options and futures. The fund currently has over $60 million under management. Julie handled the administrative side of the business until the end of 2000, when she took time off for personal pursuits.

Julie got her start in the stock market at Feshbach Brothers in Palo Alto, CA, where she worked for eight years, starting first as their receptionist and later moving up into two different Executive Assistant positions. She studied interior design in college, and helped manage a clothing store for several years after finishing school.

Her passions are her husband and three beautiful and talented children, all of whom keep her very well amused, her beagle pup, reading, jewelry making and someday making something more than squawking noises on her clarinet.


Jan Meekcoms
VIP Liaison

Jan D. Meekcoms is the Council of Governors and VIP Liaison for FCSR and a newcomer to Florida, having resided in Oregon for many years.

Jan is Executive Vice President of Parkbridge Capital Group, Inc. a real estate investment and brokerage company and was co-Founder of Sinclair Capital, a residential mortgage company. 

Jan is past President of the Oregon Chapter of Citizens Commission on Human Rights, where she lobbied the Oregon State Legislature for a Parental Rights in Education Bill. She was an Advisory Board Member at Columbia Academy and a former Executive Board Member of the Oregon Education Coalition, a grassroots organization of state legislators, local officials and public for the purpose of promoting education initiatives.

Jan has been active in politics for many years and served on the Executive Finance Committee for US Senator Gordon Smith and has worked on campaigns for several state legislators. She has participated on the host committee for numerous candidate fundraisers with such honored guests as President George Bush Sr.; Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson, Senator Alfonse D'Amato, Senator Jack Kemp and others and was selected for the Republican Senatorial Inner Circle Commission representing the State of Oregon.


Steve Sigal
Marketing and Special Projects

Steve has been a senior marketing and public relations strategist and business development consultant for over twenty years and currently has his own marketing consulting business.

Previously Steve was Director of Marketing for Fortress Technologies and has also served as Vice-President of Marketing for multimedia developer Absolute Entertainment where he was responsible for product management as well as managing an in-house ad agency.

Steve also has served as Vice-President of Strategic Research for Survey.com and Vice-President of Marketing for Government Technology Services, Inc. where he created the marketing department for what grew to be the largest independent reseller of computer software and services to the Federal Government. At GTSI, Steve received five Harvey Communications Industry awards for promotions.

Steve attended the University of California, Northridge. Steve is married to FCSR Chair Joanie Sigal and has two boys.


Roz Spagnola
Membership Executive

Rosalyn Carlton Spagnola (Roz) graduated from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon and began her teaching career in Oregon and earned her Masters of Education degree in Spanish and English as a Second Language from the School for International Training in Bratteleboro, Vermont.

After having traveled widely in Spain and Europe, Roz returned to New York City where she worked as a consultant for Educational Solutions in the Twin Schools Project in the Bronx.

She was offered a position with the Los Angeles Public School District where for the next twenty years she served as a teacher, adviser, consultant, assistant principal and principal.

In 1987, Roz received the California Distinguished Principal Award for winning the California Distinguished School Award for her school.

During this time, Roz was elected to the Los Angeles County Central Democratic Party Committee, where she served as Chairperson of the 41st Assembly District. She worked on a number of advisory committees which included assisting in writing proposed platform language for Democratic Party state, federal and presidential campaigns.


Nate Jessup


Nate received his BA from Yale and Bachelor of Fine Arts from University of Pennsylvania.
 
He is Vice President Client Relations for Nationwide Title, a national service provider to the mortgage banking industry. Nate was the co-founder and VP Operations of Association of Citizens for Social Reform, Sacramento CA. Prior to that Nate was the Executive Vice President Sales and  Marketing for Retail Technologies International, a developer and an international software distributor acquired by Intuit in 2002 and his background includes many years of participation in supporting government funded drug abuse programs and other social reform activities.
